The Bible is full of festivals — moments in a year where God’s people would gather, celebrate, rest, and reset their hearts. And I can’t help but feel that July holds a little of that same invitation for us.

This month, loads of us will be heading to Focus — a time to worship, have fun, and make space for God to speak. But as well as Focus, July is a month when Blackpool gets busy. It’s one of those times where the town fills up, and God gives us unexpected opportunities to share Jesus with people passing through.

So whether you’re staying local or packing your tent, let’s live this summer on purpose. Take the opportunities God gives you and keep going!

Events

Discipleship Groups

Blackpool Church Discipleship Groups are a fantastic way to get to know other people and to grow deeper in your journey of faith. Discipleship Groups meet in homes across the town and at different times in the week. You can sign up for a group below or talk to one of the team on Sunday to find out more.

One of our groups is Sam’s Group, which meets fortnightly on a Thursday in the Blackpool Church Prayer Room to hang out, read the bible and pray for one another.

Weekly

Sunday Gatherings | Sunday at 11am
Sundays at church are for everyone! There’s worship, prayer, a talk and groups for kids and young people. There is a creche for children 0-2, and we ask that older children don’t play in the creche to keep the little ones safe! Doors open at 10.30am for coffee and pastries.

Tuesday Youth | Tuesdays 7pm - 8.30pm

Tuesday Youth is a space for you to bring your friends to hang out. We’ve got toasties, games, craft and consoles. We also give time for music and to hear from some inspiring people. Tuesday Youth is term-time only.

Babies & Toddlers | Wednesdays 9.30am - 11am
Babies & Toddlers is a stay and play for children aged 0-4 and is free of charge.
There is singing, crafts and stories, tea, coffee, toast and cereal. Babies & Toddlers is term-time only.

Communion at Beacon Church | Wednesdays 11am
A simple gathering at Beacon Church where we share communion and listen to a short talk. The address for Beacon is 42 Reads Avenue, FY1 4DE.

Open House | Thursdays 10am - 12pm

Open House is a drop-in which provides a safe and warm space, activities, hot food (for which there is a small charge), fresh fruit and refreshments. Our experienced team provide a great welcome, spend time listening to people’s life stories, signpost to other agencies as appropriate and offer to pray with people.
