You created all things

Revelation 5: 9 -11
Whenever the living creatures give glory, honour and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honour and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”
In our busy lives, we all need to seek out moments of solitude to fully reflect on the majesty of Creation.
If we walk out our daily routines with more care and consideration and become intentional about space and time alone with Jesus;
we will encounter him as Creator God.
On my walk home each morning from safely delivering my boys to the Primary School gate - I experienced the most enchanting and life-affirming view.
Ahead of a rising pathway before my eyes was a vivid, dreamlike landscape - of lush olive-green rolling hills with clusters of high trees embellishing their form. One or two birds of prey would be calmly circling or calling through the pale blue mist.
I would stop in my tracks many times to embrace that perfect scene.
Because I stepped into the silence and solitude during my walk home I was able to contemplate the glory of Creation around me and his never-ending love for our world.
Lord Jesus, help me to find a silent space to encounter your fragile and beautiful Creation. Would you show me your glory in the environment around where I live and work. Show me the ocean, the skies, the many varieties of trees and flowers and show me how I can meet with you there Lord. All glory be to you!
Amen.
