CHURCH DOOR COFFEE

Church Door Coffee coming soon…

Church Door Coffee is more than a coffee shop. It’s a social venture taking shape in the heart of Blackpool. We have identified two things happening in our town.

One. We believe St John’s Square and the wider town has seen an entrepreneurial resurgence in recent years, with lots of high quality business being established.

Two. Sadly, we see really high numbers of individuals who are unemployed or ‘not in education or training’ (NEET).

Our vision is to open a coffee hatch in the historic doors of St John’s Church that makes a difference in these two areas. We want to play our part in establishing more high quality business’, contributing towards the long term renewal of our town and facilitating St John’s square to be a hub of hospitality in Blackpool. We also want to be an employer that enables unemployed and NEET individuals to thrive to the workplace and the rest of their lives.

What will we serve?

Speciality coffee - Life’s too short for bad coffee. We will serve high quality, ethically sourced coffee.

Sweet treats - Mary Berry would be proud of all the baking we are doing in preparation for providing you with some amazing freshly made sweet treats.

What makes us different?

We believe great coffee can do more than fuel a day, it can fuel a future. Alongside every cup we serve, we’re building pathways into employment through a Work Life Training Programme designed to support people who need a fresh start. From barista skills to confidence-building and team experience, our aim is to equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive in the workplace and in the rest of their lives.
